You can. If you already know the exact car, dealership and person you want to deal with, go for it. Most people don't want to ring around, chase callbacks, explain themselves twice or walk into a dealership cold. BATD lines up the car, timing and handoff so the test drive feels less awkward and more useful.

Wait, do you just do test drives?

No. Test drives are the starting point. We help people move from research to decision — comparing cars, checking availability, booking the test drive, and where needed, helping with finance, trade-ins or sourcing the right car.

Am I going to get smashed with sales calls?

That's what we're trying to avoid. We share what's needed to arrange the test drive and keep the handoff focused. BATD is designed to reduce the messy dealership runaround, not create more of it.

Do I have to buy on the day?

No. A good test drive should help you decide, not pressure you. The goal is to leave clearer than when you arrived.

Q: How do you guys even get paid?

Test drives stay free. We're upfront if a fee ever applies. Booking a test drive never costs you anything. If you ask us to go further and source or negotiate a specific car for you, that's a separate paid service — either a flat sourcing fee agreed with you before we start, or a success fee only if we land you the car. We may also receive a referral or commission payment from a dealer or finance provider if you go ahead with them. Any fee is agreed with you in writing before we start, and never taken from vehicle purchase funds. The experience still needs to be useful, transparent and customer-first — you should never feel pushed into a car just because someone else benefits.

Our services

Book a Test Drive helps you move from research to decision — comparing vehicles, checking availability, booking test drives through our verified dealer network, and where requested, assisting with vehicle finance, trade-ins, selling your car or sourcing a specific vehicle.

Booking a test drive through us is free. If you ask us to source or negotiate a specific vehicle on your behalf, that is a separate paid service — either a flat sourcing fee agreed with you before we start, or a success fee payable only if we secure the vehicle. Any fee is agreed with you in writing before we begin, and is never taken from vehicle purchase funds. We may also receive a referral or commission payment from a dealer or finance provider if you proceed with them.

Test drive bookings

Test drive bookings are subject to vehicle and dealer availability. We will confirm your booking with the relevant dealer and share only the information needed to arrange the test drive. Test drives are conducted at the dealer’s premises and subject to the dealer’s requirements, including holding a valid driver’s licence. You are under no obligation to purchase a vehicle at or after any test drive.
